In 1986, the Supreme Court ruled the Air Force can ban yarmulkes because it's not part of the uniform.

Justices Uphold Curb on Yarmulke.

I don't know if that's still the rule today. But rules are being relaxed as our military becomes more "diverse."

In 2021, the Army changed its rules for women, permitting them to wear their hair long.

“In 2021, the Army changed its rules for women, permitting them to wear their hair long.”

As long as I can remember the reasoning for having short hair was Sanitation. I guess the guys can now grow long hair.

IMHO, Everybody sports short crew cut hair, everybody.

This article neglects to mention that skihs have very long hair bound up in the turban.

I’m only assuming that this individual is/was not going to get a crew cut put a turbine over it.

. But rules are being relaxed as our military becomes more “diverse.”
