Using a high resolution microscope focused on the filled in oval...it can detect if it was filled in by a sharpie, a ball point pen, or a pencil or WAS PRINTED IN BY COMPUTER, even with random areas so each one is slightly different.
The High Resolution Image captures the indentation made in the paper by sharpie, pen or pencil
Any printed in oval will not have any such indentation.
Recall seeing all the ballot sheets were scanned in using a high resolution scanner...this will detect if the ovals were filled in by sharpie, pen or pencil that make an indentation....or printed with no indentation detected.
