Sounds like a RINO who wants to get elected via the gravy train. But no worries; the vote counters and machines will keep him out if the Uniparty wants him kept out.

He has to if he’s to have any hope of winning here. Much as we’d prefer the MAGA approach, that simply doesn’t bring in enough votes in VA.

Speaking as a fellow Virginian, he's wrong about that.

I will say that Gillespie couldn't have been a less inspiring candidate. He was a retread RINO with no fire or personality. Nobody was enthusiastic about his candidacy. If the Republican party had given Ken Cuccinelli, an unapologetic conservative, more than lukewarm support in his gubernatorial run against McAwful in 2013 he would have won. That's when I really learned to never send money to the Republican party and to send only to the candidates that I like.
