"He appreciated the total shipments of 2.8 million doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines to Viet Nam so far which has contributed to the country’s COVID-19 response, as well as its commitment to deliver the entirety of the deal of 31 million doses in the remaining months of the year."

Pretty big jackpot for a 2nd World communist country to secure that many (1 for every 3). Who paid for it lol?

But no, what it says is, 'Vietnam's critical care services are worse than even the US' (lol), 'so we need these circuit breakers / experimental therapies and we're not particularly choosy about what those experiments do to our people' (Quelle surprise).

The funny/sad part is the 2 out of 3 that don't get the shot will be the ones taking care of the 1 out of the 3 that get it.

2.8 million is not much.

I think maybe he is thinking the number of doses may increase in the future, maybe even by quite a bit.

They can certainly improve on that, by a lot.

I wonder whether there is in any way, a lack of any feedback loop to anyone for some sort of ... well, ... reward? Does the lack of this,, in any way partly explain why Vietnam has so few vaccines yet?

Have heard absolutely ZERO to indicate anything like that. But the country is experiencing, just about the world’s worst vaccination program, so far.

Terrible.

Someone, somewhere, ... HELP !!

(Thanks!)
