In Florida, tradesmen are the big earners. Spending $50,000 or more on a huge pickup truck is common.

Except for medicine, law and accounting, there’s not much demand for college-educated people in my area.

The qualifications for rest of the country are rapidly changing.

No HS diploma - no problem
No college degree - no problem
Criminal record - no problem
No experience - no problem
Drug testing - no worries
No COVID vax - Big Problem

After the hurricane that messed up Puerto Rico some years ago, out linemen went down there for 30 days.
That’s double time pay for 30 days at 24/7 pay.
