Total approximate USA deaths during the 1918 Pandemic was about 700,000 (about what Covid 19 is now). We are about 3.5 times the population now (325 million vs. 102 million).
About 0.7% of Americans died back then. Right now we are at about 0.2%. Hopefully we aren’t in for a terrible rise in Covid this winter, but.... :(
