which indicates a complete misunderstanding of science. Science is not taking votes. Plenty of times in actual science the accepted wisdom was one thing but the truth was something else. Often the truth was suppressed in favor of the accepted wisdom.
I remember when “speak truth to power” was a thing. I guess looking into things on your own and then telling “the power” to get stuffed is no longer in fashion.
