Mirriam Webster says:

RIOT: Definition of riot (Entry 1 of 2) 1a: a violent public disorder specifically: a tumultuous disturbance of the public peace by three or more persons assembled together and acting with a common intent b: public violence, tumult, or disorder

Having seen nearly 100 videos shot by participants and media (of the 500 or so that have been archived and are online as I speak, which anyone can look at), as well as Law Enforcement cameras, there is no other word for it, if one is in possession of one's own mental capacities, than to describe this event as a "riot". So what is the cogent argument to the contrary of this? I for one would like to hear it.
