A judge ruled Friday that prosecutors can't argue that a man who shot three people during a protest against police brutality in Wisconsin is affiliated with the Proud Boys or that he beat up a woman months before the shootings, bolstering his position as he prepares for a politically charged trial.
Kyle Rittenhouse is set to stand trial beginning Nov. 1 on multiple counts, including homicide. The 18-year-old argues he opened fire in self-defense after the men attacked him. Prosecutors signaled that they plan to show infrared video from an FBI surveillance plane that proves Rittenhouse chased down the first man he shot.

Interesting that all of these stories state that Jacob Blake was a black man shot in the back by a White cop.
They never say that Blake was a convicted felon, with a warrant for sexual assault that resisted arrest, while armed with a knife and tried to cut the officer before being shot.

For the record, I followed the Zimmerman case closely and realized the DA prosecuted because there was no choice even though the case against him was a house of cards. I knew he would be found utterly not guilty, and he was.
This case even more strongly reeks of the same desperation and there is way too much evidence to support the defense. However, we are in a different world today. If Kyle is found guilty of murder (first, second or third degree) or even manslaughter, this nation will probably explode.

I should add that there is one thing they may be able to hang on him: Minor in possession of a gun. But even that charge is a bit like charging a boy with statutory rape because the day after he turned 18 he had sex with his girlfriend who turned 18 the day after they had sex.

This guy (in the video below) talks about it and suggests that a lot of nefarious stuff was recorded regarding what EVERYONE was doing.

According to our current Fascist/communist government enforcement of unequal protection under the law, they will probably get him on a minor charge (as you suggested) and give him 20 years.
