Given how judges and the police treat prisoners, and politicians write laws, most of the country needs to treat the District of Columbia as occupied enemy territory.
It would not be prudent to go to Caracas to protest against Maduro. You might be able to do it for a while, but you also might not be able to leave the country without emptying your pockets to get out of jail. (Which of course is what they are doing in DC.)

And maybe carry some of their kind of signs, the extreme ones, like "It's My Right To Kill The Baby", "No Police Ever", "Unvaccinated Is Murder", "Hang Trump Voters", etc.
