It is strange. But over the last few months, the death rate of those who led protests against lockdowns, and vaccines, has been chilling. Caleb Wallace, for instance, and others.
For one thing, quite a few people in this group are in the high risk category (of a fatality). 99.7% or 98% (known resolved cases) survivability does not apply.
Plus... hate to say it, but, individuals in this group are likely to experience more and higher exposures than the average person. Infection size matters, especially with Delta, which, when it progresses to severe illness, seems to do so faster than earlier variants.
Would individuals in this group tend to delay seeking treatment such as monoclonal antibodies? I’ll leave that question open.
