Here’s why I don’t believe you posted this article in good faith.
You don’t express any concern for Lowry.
That to me is a tell that did not post to inform, but rather to note his illness as a sort of “I told you so”.
You’re not alone. There’s several people on FR that do not believe in getting vaccinated for COVID-19 that have also posted comments about people who have been vaccinated.
You’ve made these posts before, so it is who you are I suppose.
Lowry is going to recover. Thanks to the expensive medical treatment, he doesn’t need my well wishes. But he gets my scorn for using his pulpit to preach dangerous ideology that damn near almost killed him, and could kill anyone who listened.
Yes, “we” told you. Every major scientific body has been saying it. This Lowry character would have been the one of the loons booing when President Trump dared say get the vaccine. How many hundreds of these stories do you need to see? They will accelerate and the stories of adverse vaccine reactions will remain tiny. But here, you’ll only see the adverse reaction stories (last night an 86 year old died from the vaccine! Oh no!) or the rare care when a breakthrough is serious.
So yeah, I post these stories (in good faith) to create a little cognitive dissonance. If you listen to one side of the argument (vaccines are BADDD, covid is no big deal) you’re doing yourself a disservice.
Who am I? I’m a fiscal conservative that leans small L libertarian and I’ve voted straight conservative 30 years. My views are my own, I am semi-retired programmer, and dislike it when people ignore strong statistically backed evidence. I passionately hate that conservatives are going to be hospitalized and killed needlessly because they got caught up in a broken narrative they can’t shake. And it pisses me off the Left will laugh at us “rubes” dying needlessly.
There it is, but some will read this and think, sure, he’s getting paid by big pharma.. because tin foil hats are hard to take off.
