The arty pieces they got were reconditioned Soviet arty - something they were already familiar with - they will only have problems with maintenance and spare parts for most of what they were given by the Joek. Eventually things like Humvees and MRAPs with become useless junk.

This time the Talibs controlled the border areas, so I was afraid they had no chance. They may be able to put together a resistance over time, but without the border provinces it will be difficult to impossible. Thats how it looks to me, at least.

If what you are saying is true, then they HAVEN’T lost that area. ‘Someone’ has to keep and hold that valley. A must have as a reconnaissance and intelligence gathering hub for the opposition. If not, if they lost that intel advantage, it would be like building a shed with nice power tools and all of the power sources go out and you’re left with only a hand Saw, a hammer, and a screwdriver to finish the shed.
Taliban just had their a@@es kicked farther down in Panjshir valley. They lost over 200 killed as well as losing 118 US Humvees the idiots drove up and over a bridge, which was taken out after they penetrated. See: Soviet failures ground vehicles.
So, the Northern Alliance now has 118 of the Humvees intended for the ANA— many of whom have joined up with them.
Second: there is no way Masood would run to Erdogan, whom the Saudis and UAE consider an enemy, as do the Northern Alliance. This is some really whacked out Chi-com directed propaganda through english press b.s.
And that is only part of what happened to over 200 now dead Taliban, and their loss of 118 Humvees they took into the valley. Most of them recoverable— and recovered to the north.

I heard the Alliance got 184 armoured vehicles. Now the Tajiks are sending assistance.
