We bought a couple of electric bikes. Only cost 1 bitcoin. Should have waited and bought a Tesla!

Wouldn't be a bad idea to have a small electric vehicle and an array of solar panels producing the electricity for it.

What country benefits by our abandoning Afghanistan?

China has to get in there and get the lithium first. When was the last time China did something without pissing off the people they were dealing with?

Why did we not get the mining companies in there to run the mines and create jobs for afghans?

The CCP will establish and bankroll Afghani companies to produce and sell exclusively to China the minerals produced. It will be just like they’re doing in other third world country like Africa, for instance. Global oligarchs will get a share of the action - just not the west - other than at a reduced cost with increased dependence on China for everything.

What Afghan companies? The Talaban is set on taking Afghanistan back to the 8th century. Anyone with an education will either leave the country or be killed.

There aren't too many countries in Africa with governments like the Taliban. Toss ISIS into the mix, add in some other groups already opposing the Taliban government and you have an unstable situation in Afghanistan that's going to continue for years.

Don’t believe the headline.

I don't. The Taliban may think they're in control but they are going to be various factions fighting them for some years to come.

Afghanistan doesn’t have world’s largest lithium reserves.

I have two modes of thinking (wishful and realistic). When I mentioned lithium might be the "black gold" of the 21st century, that was wishful thinking.

Realistical thinking leads me to believe China will use Afghanistan as a stepping stone for their 200 million man army invading the middle east with the prophesied end time attack of Israel.

Afghanistan would have no say in the matter. Their entire population is less than 1/5th of China's military and it shares a common border with China.

Given China's far superior technology (especially in drone and automated warfare) China would go through Afganistan like "crap through a goose" if Afghani should resist.

More likely Afghanistan will instead join forces with China, Pakistan, Iran, Russia, Turkey, and Syria in a final invasion.

Pray for Israel and America...and invest in stone implements instead of lithium mining stocks.

Which might explain the hardware left behind by our forces. Maybe wishful thinking on our part that the Afghani will put up a fight against a Chinese invasion. It would be as Gen. Patton said, “like crap through a goose.”

How did Afghanistan compare with the U.S. and NATO, Soviet Union, Great Britain, and invaders going back to Alexander the Great? How did that work out for them?

There is no comparison in the number of fighters China can field or in the efficiency of its autonomous killing machines.

Afghanistan at best would only be a road bump on China's march to the gates of Jerusalem.

Realizing how fruitless any resistance would be, and in the interest of retaking the holy land, Afghan jihadists will join in the march to attack a common enemy along with Pakistanis and the Iranians. Russia and Turkey will also be drawn into the conflict against Israel.

At some point nuclear weapons will be used by all sides.

But before this, by some means, America as a protector of Israel will be removed from the picture (either politically or by a nuclear Pearl Harbor style attack on our continent).

And this will all take place very soon now. Within this decade, IMO.
