[Liberals' tears:] Apathetic voters could hand California recall to Republicans: ‘Folks seem unaware’

Gavin Newsom remains popular but Democrats appear far less likely than Republicans to vote in the election

When Gavin Newsom first elected governor of California in 2018, he captured a greater share of the vote than any other Democrat in state history. And he has remained broadly popular, despite a global pandemic, economic catastrophe, and a scandalously ill-timed visit to the Michelin-starred restaurant the French Laundry.

Energized conservatives have the added advantage of a low turnout in special elections, if not off-year elections. Most drone democrats only tune in every 2 or 4 years.

Democrat voters, in general, are stupid and lazy. Want to motivate them? Offer them $300 to go vote to retain Newsom.

Apathetic voters are what got California Democrats a lock on power. Those and the gullible ones. Democrats should show them more respect.

Let’s hear it for Apathy!

Don’t worry though. Democrats are more than willing to cast the votes of those apathetic voters who won’t get out and vote themselves.

If people have been following Larry over the years, they would know he is a good man and could do many wonderful things for Cali. Maybe another Regan moment

Time will tell. Each voter got a mailed ballot. Ballots probably have to be in three years after Election Day. Lol. /sarc.

Yes.

But Dem women voters still think he’s cute and like his hair.
That brings in a lot of votes.

Gavin Newsom’s keeping it all in the family

"Gavin Newsom will be the first Democrat in more than a century to succeed another Democrat as governor and the succession also marks a big generational transition in California politics.

A long-dominant geriatric quartet from the San Francisco Bay Area – Gov. Jerry Brown, Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi – has been slowly ceding power to younger political strivers.

Moreover, Newsom is succeeding someone who could be considered his quasi-uncle, since his inauguration continues the decades-long saga of four San Francisco families intertwined by blood, by marriage, by money, by culture and, of course, by politics – the Browns, the Newsoms, the Pelosis and the Gettys."

While I agree California has its fair share of apathetic voters, it was a call combination of union voters (fed, state, local, private sector), tree huggers, wealthy liberals, soccer moms and apathy that gave the dems a lock on power. Now that all those turds that created this mess are fleeing to other states, the illegals are happily filling the gap.

“Gavin Newsom remains popular”

Does he? That’s a big claim for the article to lead with. Citation needed.

I was thinking the same thing. But polls, like elections, can be manipulated to say anything they want.

See my tagline for commentary on this.

the D party machine so controls the election process in Californication, there’s no way they’ll give up the governor’s mansion

the D’s control the ballot and candidate identifications and proposition language

the D’s control the polling stations
the D’s control the “voters” by running an open door policy for illegals
the D’s permit illegals to vote as many times as they wish, in as many precincts as they wish
the D’s bus illegals and other paid apparachniks from precinct to precinct to cast multiple votes
the D’s control the vote counting (machine and manual)
the D’s control the vote results certification
the D’s control the courts to uphold their corrupt elections

and the D’s have plenty of copy machines to print as many “completed” ballots as needed to stuff the ballot boxes just in case the counts don’t somehow hold up for the D candidates (think Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada, etc.)

the chances of the DemoNaziCommie party bosses ever losing the governor’s mansion are asymptotic to zero
