Could Biden have said, “no. We’re not leaving?” These plans were made in 2020.

American and EU country departures from Afghanistan will remove about 70% of the capital providing them a GDP of say, Haiti. Once the Taliban install their inter-province checkpoints to demand bribes to move about goods and services, their GDP will consist of nothing but Opium and kidnapping.

Good luck with that China.

Nonsensical comparison.

Of course Biden is not to be trusted but it has nothing to do with Afghanistan.

The U.S. Abandoned Taiwan under Jimmy Carter in 1979. Experts actually thought Taiwan would give up and accept a deal with the ChiComs. They didn’t.

Congress then made a law to make it difficult to not support Taiwan if China attacks them.

Nonetheless, Taiwan and Japan can defeat the ChiComs if it came down to it.

We are watching a nation go down the tubes thanks to the Dems, RHINO’s, unpatriotic Americans and woke churches. The election of Biden has exposed so much . . .the evil runs so deep. It will take a miracle from God to right the sinking ship.

It doesn’t help that our policies change with each different administration, which is what makes us so inconsistent. There was once a time where incoming presidents would continue policies out of integrity, as long as it was of a benefit to the American people, but those days are long over. Now the pendulum swings back and forth, farther and farther each time.

It won’t end well, especially if it keeps swinging so far to the left. Progressives are nonsensical when it comes to security, doing all they can to collapse the system in order to replace it with something totalitarian. They have zero respect for the Constitution, and even less for those who hold it and its ideals in high regard.

China’s constructive role will consist primarily of looting Afghanistan’s mineral and other resources. Any infrastructure projects undertaken will be designed to aid in that effort. As long as the necessary bribes are paid out, the Taliban won’t care.

Don’t even ask for the details of the what the Chinese Communist Party’s concept of “restoring the peace” consists of.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if every single Uyghur in China suddenly had the urge to migrate (entirely voluntarily, of course) to Afghanistan.

We re weak under Biden because he was elected to be weak and do just that which he is doing across the board in America

Our Defense budget has been in the $650 Billion dollar per year range in 2017-2019 time frame and we have been spending $44+ billion of that in Afghanistan\

Afghanistan has been sucking our defense budget dry and draining funds needed to retool our military away from playing wack a mole with illiterate Taliban with rusty AK 47s to building and deploying next generation fighters, UAVS, hypersonic and space vehicles, battle field robotics (look at what Boston Robotics is doing these days) , new tanks ( the M1 is a 50 years old design which has lost it's edge ) , new infantry weapons, new thermal night vision, new naval vessels and training a new generation of warriors.

Afghanistan was sucking up money needed to maintain our existing forces and modernize to keep emerging threats like China from intimidating and fighting places like Taiwan, Japan and India.

Now we can spend the money and concentrate efforts on kicking China’’s ass

Barak Obama called Afghanistan "the good war" because Afghanistan is know as the "Graveyard of Empires" and he wanted to use Afghanistan to wear down and drain our military power and demoralize our troops. He wanted to grind our military into the Afghan dust in a losing cause supporting a corrupt government ( that he helped corrupt)

Afghanistan is no ally. It was more a relationship of convenience for them. As long as we kept giving them money and equipment they behaved. As soon as we start the pullout they turn on us.
