I think back around late June...folks were saying that only a quarter of Latinos in California had vaccinated. I doubt if it’s risen more than ten points since then.
If you go and tell bar/pub/restaurant owners that they may lose one-third of their typical normal business because of the rules...they will ask, what’s the difference between this crap and being shut-down? You can’t run a business long-term, with a third of your profits gone.
And with a constantly changing mandates they get implemented with no clear expiration, etc. It really makes it a very difficult choice she actually Ruby open.
The council is already on record that they'll enforce this against the businesses with punitive fines and administrative compliance mechanisms (pulling liquor licenses, business licenses, health permits and the like).
The big corporate outfits have the wherewithall to enforce this against their customers, or endure the loss of business. This is a final stab in the back to the independents, the small stores and restaurants that provide the economic independence for people to say 'no' to the unions, the government and the big corporations.
There's no way, that after a year of this, the people getting hurt are the independent operators.
