One thing with Amazon that customers may not see but that definitely helps them are the returns. I don’t buy much and rarely need to return items but one in particular was so egregious that within days after returning it, the item was no longer available. There must have been a lot of us who returned it.

indeed ... probably same for Costco, which is why i take the trouble in both cases to return stuff that sucks, even if it isn’t terribly expensive ...
