U.S. Sen. Todd Young, R-Ind., will be able to say on the campaign trail next year he voted for the $1.2 trillion bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act — before he voted against it.
The Hoosier senator announced Sunday that despite backing the transformative legislation in multiple Senate test votes, Young intends this week to vote "no" on the plan that, if enacted into law, would bring Indiana $6.6 billion in additional highway funding, and hundreds of millions more for bridges, public transportation, water systems, and broadband internet access.

Won’t save his butt from MAGA backlash!!!
Oh, great. Vote to move the bill forward and get it past filibusters, but not for the final bill.
He already voted yes. No excuses.
Good. Maybe Hoosiers gave him some heat.
He’s up in ‘22. Worried about his seat. If he wins another term what are the chances he’ll go full Bill Cassidy on us?

He’s up for reelection next year (2022). I hope he loses.
They love playing this game.
At least he recognized the errors of trying to make a deal with totalitarians. Better late than never.
The people are on to this game. Young thinks they’re not. Who’s gonna take him on Pence? Even that’d be an improvement. It also suggests term limiting senators to 2 terms wouldn’t stop much. One term only.
.
This is an old trick.
He’ll say in debates that he voted against it.

the Turtles buttboy got permission from the chamber of commerce to play games with the vote
bingo
His office was flooded with phone calls for the last two days
These bastards always do this, vote for cloture to advance the bill and then vote no, but enough Assistant Democrats will vote yes to pass it to assist the Democrats.

Don’t you just love the way they put their dreams in the form of what is GOOD for you. NOT.
Guaranteed, look at Flimsey Grahamnesty, re-electing them only emboldens them.

He’s playing his voters for fools, like Bush League Republicans always do.
The first vote for a bill is NOT “supporting” it.
You are voting to continue with examining the bill, in offering amendments, in seeing what is REALLY in the darn thing.
Once all that happens, it is time to “support” the bill.
And ONCE YOU SEE THAT IT IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT FOR YOUR PEOPLE...you vote against it.
Media does this all the time.
