Western SD has some great places to ride. Sturgis is worth the trip to see The Badlands, Iron Mountain Road, Devils Tower, Deadwood, Crazy Horse Mountain, Mount Rushmore and yes,the Murdo Auto Museum, the Corn Palace and even Wall Drug. Then you can have a few beers and look at bikes and boobs.
I prefer it to Daytona by a wide margin. There is little more than bikes, booze and boobs in Daytona. The roads are flat, straight, and crowded.
Even Laconia is preferable to Daytona bike week.
It is amazing that over 600,000 people were at the annual Experimental Aircraft Association convention in Oshkosh, WI last week... the event was officially for 1 week... but folks were there early... no super spread event... I was there for 5 days with my family and friends... less than 1% were masked... no idea on how many had been vaccinated!
