Since it now cannot be said that they prevent infection, that bullshit has been inserted into the "vaccine" narrative. But the reality is that they were all developed and then released to prevent, not to "lessen the effects," of infection
"In December 2020, the United States (U.S.) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued Emergency Use Authorizations (EUA) for use of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for the prevention of COVID-19 for individuals 16 or 18 years of age and older, respectively. In February 2021, the FDA issued an EUA for the Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine for use for individuals 18 years of age and older."

Pfizer's "vaccine" literature also states precisely that their "vaccine" is for the PREVENTION of Covid-19
The widespread, vernacular understanding is that a "vaccine" is something that immunizes, i.e. makes a person immune to a specific disease. One shouldn't be surprised by people's skepticism when they're later told that the new "vaccines" do not confer immunity, but just reduce symptom severity.
