Current Covid antibody tests aren’t all that reliable, they can report false positives. A better test is needed to test for immunity. If you have had one of the vaxes your immune system is known to be trained so that’s why it’s preferred to the current antibody test.

Natural immunity isn’t being ignored, it’s great, but it requires you to catch the disease and that can be dangerous.

If the virus is able to mutate sufficiently it may get around both natural and vaccine immunity.

Too late for me, I caught it before the vaccines. Last March the FDA cleared a test called t-detect which measures your immune system’s memory of the virus.

Most of my family had Covid at the end of December of last year. In May, I tested positive for antibodies. Another member of my family had tested positive for antibodies, but just recently tested negative. So, he was pretty much forced to get the shot to keep his job. I’m going to donate blood soon to see if I still test positive. Even if I don’t test positive for antibodies, I’m not getting the vaccine.
