Yup. Too easy, but that’s the poem’s focus.
This month and next month have usually have the worst. The DNCMedia said this year would be busier than normal, but the say that every year.
So far, we’ve had a couple of soakers (and where needed, too) but it has been quiet...
Speaking of “soakers”, we got 2” of rain overnight, thank goodness. It is not ‘enough’ overall (need about 2 days of soaking rain), but at least this morning you can walk on the grass without it ‘crunching’ - literally. It’s greened up a bit, too - was brown yesterday.
When I checked the radar early this morning, there were some gnarly looking storms to the East - if they were severe when they came through here, we slept through it. Our AC is on the fritz & the fan has to stay on for it to work - if the power goes out & the fan goes off, no AC. We’re getting a new motor next week that will rectify the problem - in the meanwhile, I’m sweating every T-storm - GOT to have AC for my dad who has advanced heart failure & cannot tolerate heat/humidity.
