India has and continues to export the vast majority of the vaccine doses they produce. Very few have gotten to people there. And most of those have gone to people who are connected and/or have money. As of July 16th, India only had about 6% of their population fully vaccinated. And early ramp-up was very slow. They didn’t even reach 1 million doses a day until the end of March. In February, it was a tiny fraction of a percent who had been vaccinated.
