A Miami intensive care unit is overflowing with unvaccinated COVID-19 patients, a local CBS affiliate reported on Tuesday.
Jackson Memorial Hospital’s ICU Nurse Manager Alix Zacharski told the CBS News affiliate that the "fourth wave" of the virus isn’t going well for them, calling it "the unvaccinated pandemic."
“All of them are unvaccinated,” Zacharski said of the COVID-19 patients in the unit. “We’re full. All the patients that are currently here, six of them are under 60 years old.”

Complete and utter BS.10 years ago I was the Director of Capital Project and Construction. I have been in every square inch of the 7.5 million square feet on three (3) campuses.
There are multiple ICU’s in each of the three hospitals. Neuro ICU, Pediatric ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn Unit ICU (Ryder Trauma Center). Apparently the interviewer found a likeable dope to confirm that his or her particular ICU was approaching capacity. I guess it was too much to ask if the Jackson Health System would accept a transfer of an ICU patient to another ward, wing or hospital.
When Jackson stopped reporting on ICU capacity several months ago, they were running at 80%. That is for ALL the reasons under the sun.

I don’t doubt you. I’m just going by what the article said but, obviously, the implication that e dry patient there has COVID is bs. I wouldn’t be surprised though if a significant number had evidence of exposure at some point. I’ve said on other threads that I don’t trust any numbers when the government or media cite them.

I’m sure there are lots of folks on FR that know more about hospital operations than me, so I have some questions….questions that no one in the MSM will ever ask as they don’t support the narrative.
Is that many ICU rooms normal? That seems like a lot even if folks are doubled up?
Is this hospital the indigent care/Level 1 Trauma Center in Miami? Like Grady Hospital in Atlanta. Great and very experienced staff that will save you when you need saving, but get the hell out of there as fast as you can.
What are these folks being treated with? What is the accepted treatment protocol?
If there are 4 under 60, what are the ages of the rest, since it would appear that if they’re elderly, they’re no different than what was happening last year.
Given that it’s a hospital, how many showed up at the ER, where they can’t be turned away, and how severe were their cases when they got there?
I could come up more I’m sure, and while this may be the 100% truth, just seems a tad bit too convenient.
