NO outsider will ever do that again.

Biden did well not to come right out and say: "The people who own me want you dead and buried - stop talking like you have any right to operate independently of Deep State policies!"

One of these days, he is going to slip up.

1) The food service industry - particularly at the lower end - tends to treat employees like crap. It is a last-choice job for most folks.

a) Solution. Treat employees like humans, not as fungible and disposable commodities.

2) The food service industry has a broken economic model

a) Solution. Recognize conservative economic policies work. Such as supply and demand. If the business isn’t viable with its current model, change the model or write off the business.

I’ve never been desperate enough to go into the food service industry, but it is rife with bad businessmen and really bad managers.

“when there are jobs available there is NO reason to pay people not to work.”

This.

I literally recoiled after viewing some video clips of Biden in his town hall meeting.

It’s pretty darn obvious this guy has some big issues in regards to speaking/communicating. What I find interesting is the media and White House ignoring and pretending he’s perfectly fine when it’s obvious to anyone watching he’s got big issues and has no business being the President or in any position of power/authority.

Restaurant owners on Thursday didn't like Biden's reponse, contending it showed how little he understands about running a business and the country's labor crisis, DailyMail.com reported.

This is not quite fair. Biden's been running a billion dollar business for the last 12 years at least. Although in fairness, he pays his only employee Hunter a LOT so his advice is consistent with how he runs his own syndicate.

Don’t you love it how politicians like Biden, who have never written a pay check, have all kinds of advice for business owners?

“It’s just joe.” Meanwhile, his caregiver, Doctor Jill, is in Tokyo so she’s not there to mind him and give him the meds he needs.

What I have seen of the food service business is that the prices for prepared food can be rather outrageous in some cases while the employees depend largely on good tips to make it. As a customer I think many of us feel that we have already paid a big price for a meal & hate to have to add to it for a decent tip. Some places have very high-priced menus & I wonder how the service employees manage there; if the tips are high too. In the smaller towns that usually don’t have the high-end diners, I don’t think the service employees do much more than almost make a living, but in many cases it is a supplementary income anyway.

Angry employers fired back at President Biden for telling a restaurant owner Wednesday night at a CNN townhall that he should raise wages to address the labor shortage.

All Biden is doing is quoting simple supply and demand. If demand is not being met then it's because there aren't enough people willing to work for the wages they're offering. Increase wages and supply will increase as well.

He’s not going to do any of that.

Wasn't all that in place before Biden came into office?

Time for the Participation Trophy crowd to crawl out of their parents’ basement and start working for a living.

Biden would never understand that good idea. "I was in my basement almost 24 hours a day during the campaign. Liked it a real lot. Jill brought me sudoku and Easy Crosswords----couldn't finish most of them but they kept my mind from wandering as much. Basements are fun."

Suffering labor shortages is a myth.
I personally know that many companies place want ads without any intention of hiring. All they want is resumes that they can keep in their data banks. Here in Houston is an army of job seekers in the energy industry especially LNG. Anyone wants an immediate LNG Process Design Engineer, give me a call.

The wife and I were waiting for red light to change, and I glanced over at the fast-food drive-in joint nearby. The menu board said $6 for a milkshake, and other rising prices for burgers and fries. Brought back memories of "Pulp Fiction" movie where Travolta exclaimed shock at the $5 price of a milkshake, and said it had better be a great milkshake at that unreal price.

So here we are with $6 milkshakes (I remember when they were 19 cents back in the late 1960's). Under Biden, expect them to be over $10 soon.

Biden, a lifelong politician telling a business owner what he needs to do.

Democrats are braindead.

In the future (assuming no holocaust), the only restaurants will be those of the very rich, and automated fast food joints.

No more diners and the like.

I’m sorry, but I just can’t believe half or more of what I read about Joe Biden at this site. He just can’t be that brain-dead and stupid. There must be some exaggeration or body-double impersonations going on.
