Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) says that Floridians should get the vaccine to protect against the coronavirus.

DeSantis told reporters in a press conference Wednesday that 95% of hospital admissions in Florida due to coronavirus complications were not either fully vaccinated or vaccinated at all, stating that “[T]hese vaccines are saving lives. They are reducing mortality.”

DeSantis also said that vaccinated people will not be hit with the current COVID-19 wave in Florida.

Do you have a link for this article? I heard something similar on Salcedo’s show on Newsmax, but my impression was that Biden (1/20/2021 - 5/1/2023) was sending them all over the country.

I do believe that DeSantis state would receive an extra helping of biowarfare virus releases both to harm him politically but also to stop him from demonstrating success of not vaccinating. Wuhan spread it, partly by sending sick people via airplane world wide. I do believe they still release bioagents on states and countries who don’t behave.

What is with all these Republicans suddenly jumping on the vaccination bandwagon?

Most likely because the Democrats have been reaching out for help in red states and Trump is just sitting on the fence.

The fact Trump hasn't yet done a public service message encouraging folks to take the vaccines his administration developed is telling.

It sure does make a lot of sense.

Gotta punish those who don’t fall in line.

Cancer mutations are completely random too.

I didn't say they are not random. I said certain mutated "states" are more likely to acquire further mutations because the genome has become unstable as result of a previous mutation.

Selection of mutations that survive against the immune system is not random.

That's true. Certain mutations because of neo antigens they present on the cell surface are more immunogenic than other mutations. This results in selective 'editing' of a tumor. It's why with immunotherapy it's tough to go after tumors using neo antigens alone. You will end up removing certain clones while other clones survive.

these are not mutations of mutations,

Again, I didn't say they are mutations of mutations. The younger generations acquire new mutations because they have become unstable. The new mutations could be anything. Maybe I should clarify the following

that mutant becomes a source of mutations in succeeding generations

I meant this mutant which became unstable is the *parent* of all succeeding generations that are more likely to acquire further mutations. I did not mean mutations in younger generations are "evolving" from this particular mutation in the parent. The parent just became unstable. And the instability is carried forward in younger generations which continue to acquire new mutations.

So - he's just another politician? A liar? Doesn't mean what he says? You mean that when he says "if you are vaccinated, the chance of you getting seriously ill or dying from COVID is effectively zero" - he's lying?

Because - that statement is pretty much born out in facts. IN fact - in some states - everyone that has died recently have been unvaccinated. So - COOL. Trump took the jab. If it's unsafe and everyone will die in three years from it (as someone on here suggested a few days ago) - we won't have to worry about him in 2024.

They aren’t stupid. They know how to read data - unlike a majority of FReepers. Heck - even Trump knows how to read data and listen to the science.

It’s because Biden missed his vaccine goal a couple weeks ago and said he was going to send people to knock on your doors to inject you with the vaccine. Then Fox and Republicans hosts called him out in that. Then because Buden is a madman Biden and the Democrat party started saying Republicans and Fox News critical of his door knocking and vaccine push on kids are causing vaccine hesitancy and are killing people. Then the Fox hosts and Republicans had to say hold on now, nobody is causing any hesitation on our side, that’s what you did before the election, we think vaccines are terrific, but we don’t believe the government should force anyone to get the vaccine. So basically missed his vaccine goal and doesn’t acknowledge natural immunity and he is a madman.

If you hate Freepers and Free Republic so much (and your posts drip with contempt for both) why are you still here? Log off and opus out. Go back to your dreams about wasps flying out the pope’s rear.

That’s something I have considered as well, the ‘vaccine’ does protect against covid 19, but it will also protect against something much, much worse down the road. So the people that complied and those that haven’t have self selected into those that trust the state and those that don’t. So you have two populations, one that is trusting of the state and safe, one that is vulnerable and untrusting of government. Which would seem to be pretty convenient for the state.
