Is it normal for a vaccinated person to contract the disease they’ve been inoculated against?

In a good year, flu vaccines are about 40 to 50 percent effective at reducing the risk of infection.

The flu vaccine is a guess about which likely variant will predominate. I referenced specifically the targeted scheduled vaccines nearly every child receives. Are you suggesting the panel of vaccines children receive is only 50% effective?

It shouldn’t be called a vaccine then.
