A Texas Democrat said Monday the runaways will need $1.5 million to stay in D.C. until August 7 - while another member admitted it was a mistake to go maskless on private jets ...Masks... shmasks... I thought they weren't effective.
However, on plus side here, we have a controlled experiment. This variant appears to be highly contagious. It will be interest to see how many get it, how mild/severe it is for them, and whether there is any differential between vaccinated and unvaccinated in terms of severity or contagion.
And, I couldn't think of a more deserving bunch of medical guinea pigs than these Texas Democrats, who thought they were on a high-cost, all expenses paid political junket.
