Democrats have good reason to fear the military.

Most members of the military are not democrats, and in case of a civil war, most of the military would stand with the rebellion.

Thus, the Biden administration has to keep a good eye on the members of the military, and any dubious behavior on the part of the military, would be dealt with.

I recall what happened during the fall of the former Soviet Union. The military refused to attack their own fellow citizens!!! When the military refused to violently engage with its own people, the CPSU hardliner coup against Gorbachev failed and Boris Yeltsin (with all his flaws) became the first popularly elected President.
