Oh, I think you are right that there is an aspect of wariness. I see it as coming from the CRT more, however. Blacks are acting out violently in response to this, and people notice.
The “anthem” pisses off Americans, as it takes away one of their favorite entertainments. It may also cause some disconnect in blacks, like publicly doing something to your sister, since that is what it looks like.

They want it to get to the point they only play the other tune under more and more conditions and events and skip playing the actual national anthem
