A hotel maid is being hailed for her role in preventing what police fear could have been a “Las Vegas style shooting” at the upcoming MLB All-Star Game in Denver, a report said Saturday.
The housekeeper tipped off cops after she found more than a dozen weapons and 1,000 rounds of ammunition at a hotel near Coors Field Friday, according to ABC7 Denver.
The alarming discovery was made inside a room on the eight floor of the Maven Hotel, just two blocks from the mile-high ballpark that is hosting the “Midsummer Classic” Tuesday, the station said.
Cops removed 16 long guns, body armor, and ammo from the room, which had a balcony overlooking Denver’s downtown, the outlet reported.
Three men and a woman were arrested and charged with weapons possessions in connection with the cache. Three of the suspects were previous offenders, and three of them also were charged with intent to distribute drugs, the report said.

That's where the plan went wrong. She was supposed to tell the FBI. Then the massacre could have gone forward while they looked for right wing terrorists to fit up for it.

Richard Platt, 42, Gabriel Rodriguez, 48, and Ricardo Rodriguez, 44, all were arrested on the investigation of possession of a weapon by a previous offender. Platt and Gabriel Rodriguez also face charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Kanoelehua Serikawa, 43, was arrested on investigation of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Platt and Serikawa also both have warrants from another jurisdiction.
The gun grabbers need another mass casualty event - interesting/alarming that this could have been it. Were these guys on FBI radar (as have been many of the mass shooters)? If I had to bet money, I’d say they were not ‘unknown’ to law enforcement & likely the FIBbers.

Kudos big time to this housekeeper as this very likely saved lives! I’m pro 2nd but, like the NRA, illegal is illegal and a dozen rifles and a 1k of ammo is not there for a plinking contest!

BTW just in case you thought this wasn't about the Bushes, well it is. Wray attended Phillips Academy Andover [where the elite farm out the "parenting" of children they have money but no time for] and Yale, just like ol' GW who nominated him to assistant attorney general for DOJ's Criminal Division. Wray has a lot of experience making sure that the DOJ pursues the right kinds of cases and not the wrong kinds of cases.
