Maxine Waters Criticizes Declaration of Independence on Fourth of July

House Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) criticized the Declaration of Independence in a tweet on July 4th, suggesting it is a racist document because it was written almost 250 years ago, when there was slavery in the United States.

She tweeted Sunday:

July 4th… & so, the Declaration of Independence says all men are created equal. Equal to what? What men? Only white men? Isn’t it something that they wrote this in 1776 when African Americans were enslaved? They weren’t thinking about us then, but we’re thinking about us now!

While most of her Republican and Democrat colleagues in the House tweeted celebratory messages, she and several other African American Democrats tweeted messages that highlighted racism in the country’s history.

Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) said the 4th of July is about freedom “for white people.”

“When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they’re referring to is for white people,” she tweeted. “This land is stolen land and Black people still aren’t free.”

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) also used the occasion to tweet about race.

“Let us reflect on the full story of America today. Black people were not freed in 1776. Despite a system stacked against us, we must continue to use our collective power to change that system,” he tweeted.

The slavery debt in the United States, has been paid in full for many years. Here is a partial list of the payments. The ante bellum abolitionist movement, coupled with the Underground Railroad. The carnage of the Civil War. The Thirteenth, Fourteenth, Fifteenth, Nineteenth, and Twenty-fourth Amendments to the United States Constitution. The Constitution of the United States has been amended five times as reparation for the evil of slavery. That is almost 30% of the seventeen amendments added since the original ten. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Pub.L. 88–352, 78 Stat. 241, enacted July 2, 1964.) All these actions or laws were designed and executed by decent human beings to abolish the inhumanity inflicted on fellow humans. These actions are designed to ensure no human being in the United States will ever have to suffer such tribulation again. Slavery, abolished 156 years ago, has nothing to do with the so called “racism” that is currently in vogue. Admittedly there is senseless angst and hatred based on skin color. It continues because as human beings we allow it to continue. There is no logical reason “racism” should exist. It is an obsolete cultural relic. There is only one who is supreme. Put an end to diversity which groups people by insignificant labels. Replace diversity with teamwork, compassion, encouragement, understanding, and friendship. We are blessed in the United States, for all citizens have equal footing. Within the bounds of human decency everyone is free and encouraged to excel at their endeavors. In the end it is about character, all can decide their own destiny.

Good news for Maxine Waters! She can save money now, if she hurries and reserves her one way flight now! She can go to Africa, or Canada, even Europe, and save! Just don’t book the flight back.

How about preferential treatment given to black applicants over Whites and Asians at nearly every major university in the country.

How about the many government loan programs that are exclusively for Black-owned businesses?

Or scholarships that exist exclusively for Black students?

How about grading standards at many colleges that have been lowered since some students cannot meet the standards.

How about math programs being tossed out......considered racist b/c of black students’ low math grades.

I get a kick out of the fact that dingbats like Maxine Waters tries to lump all of the people back in 1776 with slavery. Benjamin Franklin was the head of the abolitionist society. Only the southerners were slave masters. More than half the people in what became the United States under the Declaration of Independence were against slavery, but dingbats like Waters never tells the true story. The democrat phrase Systemic Racism tries the same thing, linking everybody into racist behavior. That is also a big lie. The southern democrats do not want to stand alone with the guilt for what they did.

Stupid Waters.

Thomas Jefferson’s phrase ...... “all men are created equal”......... was a slapdown to those abroad of noble birth likely to come to the new nation.

The Brit nobility thing was anathema to the Founders.

Article I, Sections 9 and 10 forbid the federal government or any state government from granting titles of nobility.

There are many, many black people who work just as hard if not harder, love this country as much, if not more, live as honest and show integrity as much, if not more than any other person of any race...

It actually is a small few that give them the bad reputation that we all hear about...
It’s those few that I made my previous remarks about...

Maxine Waters will be 83 in August.
Diane Finestein turned 88 in June.

When they get around to nominating people to be the poster children for TERM LIMITS I shirley hope these two get nominated. Talk about being past your prime.

Hundreds of thousands of whites died so the likes of racists Waters would be free to spout her racist dribble. But of course Waters, Jamal, Bush, Berry etc must keep spouting this crap in order to keep blacks in the victim mentality otherwise these so called leaders will lose their power.
