Most likely, the variants are caused when vaccinated people have a break-through, ..and the virus morphs and becomes genetically more adaptive.
Generally speaking, when a variant occurs, it becomes less lethal and deadly; however, other characteristics may arise,
such as more easily transmissible, fewer severe side-effects, ,etc., etc.
