Viruses mutate (they change original form ) throughout a season and accelerate, then burnout and die. Viruses die in the Summertime because the heat kills it.
So what was around over a year and a half ago is long gone.... Anyone trying to tell you otherwise is flat out lying to you or extremely ignorant. This is why we have different strains of viruses. It is not the same virus every year.
