The knowledge and research on prion (protein) disease is limited. I would like to see more research into this area

Prion disease has been a matter of intense interest and research throughout my entire 45-year career in medical microbiology and infectious diseases.

There's a lot for you to read out there. Here's a nice recent review.

Thx for the link but I don’t want to pay 8.99 for one paper.

I have been following research in prion studies. Mainly due to concerns with deer CWD and my personal concerns about it jumping into our food supply. Multiple hunters have contracted it. Several human cases were Tied to hunting lodge.

It’s an interesting phenomenon. Prions aren’t alive. They are just proteins.

Interesting what other proteins can effect people in 3-20 year time frame. Not just brain tissue. I don’t know, maybe heart, reproductive organs ....
