Most Russian subs are old. Russian training is inferior.

Hypersonics is the only area where Russia is ahead, thanks to Obama conceding that ground. That advantage is fleeting.
The US Navy trains against Swedish and Aussie subs that are much better than Russian subs. Diesel subs are an issue but they also have limitations that won’t survive a US Navy that focuses on killing subs with 10 Carriers.
