but "each guided by artificial intelligence", so nukes with personality. They learn as they go. The movie Jaws VII will be a rouge Russian nuke harassing fishermen.
I have some serious questions and doubts about the stability of a sub reportedly 400 ft+ carrying 79 ft torpedoes, an underwater vehicle/sub and another mini-sub or drone.
Anyone familiar with the subject?
And the Japanese are lousy pilots...
Existential Dilemma: If it takes out Washington DC, does that make Putin an American hero?
I wonder if the homeless and illegals California is welcoming to replaced the employed and taxpaying citizens that are fleeing will sustain their need for taxes?
Oops, not sure how that happened, but obviously the wrong thread.
Cool illustration.
Eight 2-megaton nukes to make a big tidal wave... Well, one 2-megaton nuke detonated above would render pretty much any city leveled and depopulated, right? So why use eight?
Yup. “Hey Yuri don’t smush submarine!’’ *BOOM!*
Sure Russians are so after us
There will be an attack sub tailing it 24/7/365.

Modern Russian subs are on par with their US counterparts and are very hard to find, let alone track. Things have changed dramatically.
i think the destructive capabilities of this Russian sub are being greatly exaggerated.
—
Maybe, but it was not launched with the much ballyhooed nuke torpedoes - just the regular ones.
Russia has been pouring rubles into fleet modernization and primarily its subs. These are now on par with their US counterparts and various US admirals are screaming about the catch up ... China is about 3-5 years behind.
Specs say this thing does 70knots!! WTH do we have to counter it?
—
That’s almost fast enough to catch up to one of our CVNs!
Counters will be donning their pink slippers and best dresses after they recover from their free sex changes; various Aegis Destroyers will be looking for container ships to ram. So we can safely go back to sleep knowing Traitor Joe is watching over us.
Russian submarines tend to mostly threaten themselves.

If they were build during the time of the USSR. Modern ones, not so much
I was going to say something about Washington DC but I didn’t want the give the NSA justification to spy on me.
They are already spying on you. So have at it.
“Modern Russian subs are on par with their US counterparts”
Not really close. It will likely be in dry dock after the first year and stay there for extended periods.
Most Russian subs are old. Russian training is inferior.
Imagine DARPA x 3 when it comes to underwater warfare.
Hypersonics is the only area where Russia is ahead, thanks to Obama conceding that ground. That advantage is fleeting.
The US Navy trains against Swedish and Aussie subs that are much better than Russian subs. Diesel subs are an issue but they also have limitations that won’t survive a US Navy that focuses on killing subs with 10 Carriers.
