Not to worry. Carbonization on a grand scale will reduce electric energy consumption.
There is a heat wave and accompanying drought in California that will ultimately result in massive wild fires. Those massive fires will destroy enough human habitation and businesses to effectively reduce the load on the grid.
The result of the fires is direct carbonization, the production of elemental carbon in the form of carbon dioxide, ash, and charred wood.
Some have expressed fear that the fires in grass areas where there are wind turbines may burn and damage the turbine blades. It is unknown if the turbine blades are exempt from the destructive grass flames.
Most believe that the sole remaining nuclear plant will be unaffected by the heat or drought and can continue to produce kilowatts as usual
Yet they will keep right on voting for the DemonRats who have caused this.
I bet they wish they had those power plants they have shut down and destroyed, and those out of state coal plants that have now been destroyed because they use (gasp) COAL!
Back about twenty one years ago, Southern California had a bad power shortage. Rolling blackouts and the like.
I wrote to a friend there that WE had so much power here in Mid America that we were opening outlets and letting it run out on the ground.
They did not like that.
Those making the price rise have their pay from the taxpayers, state cars, homes, per diem accounts. The state legislatures were getting $100 a dy many years ago. Sothey pay notbhing for their actions.
The price is to pay for the fat pensions of state workers. Right now 300,000+ retired gov’t people are getting over $100,000 a year tax free.
FTA: According to data from the Energy Information Administration, the all-sector price of electricity in California last year jumped to 18.15 cents per kilowatt-hour, which means that Californians are now paying about 70% more for their electricity than the U.S. average all-sector rate of 10.66 cents per kWh. Even more worrisome: California’s electricity rates are expected to soar over the next decade.
....the CPUC expects residential ratepayers in SDG&E’s service territory will be paying close to 45 cents per kilowatt-hour by 2030. For reference, that is more than three times the current average price of residential electricity.
Energy racism is to blame no doubt
