This is an impossible task. It is impossible to know what comment a person might make that could cause an emotional reaction in another.

For example they want us to use the word “rape” instead of “non-consensual sex”, but I know people who cringe when they hear the word rape. It’s nobody’s but the rapists’ fault but it is a trigger word for some. You can’t blame well meaning people who didn’t know and meant no offense. But personally I try to avoid using that word because it recalls a traumatic experience for some people. So IMO I think these ideas are not really helpful at all. They are just words and phrases commonly used and for the most part people who use them don’t mean any harm. What is needed is just a little more empathy and a lot less less authoritarianism and senses of entitlement. All this sort of language manipulation does is create more acrimony and grudges and division.

And that is the purpose. That and to exert control over others.
