I wonder if he is related to Governor DeSantis?

The Uniparty (R) never wanted anything to do with Trump other than the money he can raise for them. Only the conservative chumps and rubes that the Uniparty (R) employs as stooges wanted Trump. See how the Uniparty keeps the chumps in line? Take their money and votes while they destroy anyone with true conservative credentials.

I like Ron DeSantis, I really do. Were he to move to any other position from Governor of Florida, though, it would leave a gap at the top of the ticket for Governor, should he leave the office before completing his second term. A gap that would be hard to fill (but not impossible). Keeping options open, I would rather have a still-vital and energetic Donald Trump as the Presidential candidate in 2024, if only for his personal magnetism and wholly dedicated spirit. In 2029, he would be the oldest President to have ever served, but it is just too bad he did not get his start in Presidential politics in 1996, and we would have been spared the second term of Bill Clinton.

And George W. Bush as 43.

All this talk is entirely premature.

The 2022 midterms are going to be critical for 2024.

My analysis will likely change over the next year and a half, but as of right now I'd predict two things for 2022:

1. The Republicans DO NOT win control of the House.

2. The GOP loses Senate seats.

If the Republican Party goes into 2024 with these results from 2022 and Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy as the presumptive leaders/faces of the party on a national level, I'd say it would be disastrous to run a career politician as the presidential nominee.

It will be 2016 all over again, with Trump running against both lunatic Democrats and a feckless, useless Republican establishment.

With all due respect, leave my Governor alone ! We need him right where he is, holding the line for Florida.

From where I sit, the GOP is subservient to Trump’s interests and they know it. If they piss off his base, they can’t win.

It’s Trump’s choice. He will decide if he wants the nomination at age 78. Because of Trump some great people have emerged - Pompeo, DeSantis, Grinnell and others. Pence is out, and should by some miracle he got the nomination, enough of Trump’s base will not come out for him now, as he looks like a DC GOPe type guy. Also, many GOP “stalwarts” pre-2016 were exposed by Trump as self-serving fakes or demonkkkrap serving lackeys. The great people in the wings mentioned above seem to be the type that would be willing to wait til ‘28 if Trump tries again in ‘24.

My thinking right now is Trump won’t run, because of he won’t want to put his family through it again, and/or his perspective on age. Not that he couldn’t physically and mentally do it, but that he understands the fragility of life as one approaches 80. I could be wrong of course.

Wishful thinking by your part. Admit it.

What part of that is wishful thinking?

I would love Trump to run in 2024, but if we don't purge every RINO who must face a primary in 2022 (especially in the state legislatures) then they will allow the Dems to cheat again. RINOs hate Trump and are the enemy within.

If you want Trump in 2024, then you must get out and vote in 2022 to put MAGA patriots in office.

Interesting predictions.

A lot could happen between now and Nov 2022. Election fraud is the biggest factor in my book for your prediction to be correct. The demonkkkraps can always get a judge in an election challenge, and more often than not use “race”. GOP gets no standing from the judiciary. 2nd factor, enough weak GOP candidates running in 2022. 3rd, the demonkkkraps are going to be going to court in GOP states to obstruct redistricting. 4th factor, the Fed won’t raise interest rates til after the election.

1. The Republicans DO NOT win control of the House.

If this becomes reality, there will be a real Revolution 2.0.

The only way that the pubbies don't win the house, is with even more open voter fraud than 2020 and if that happens, it will be open warfare.

We are way past promises for the future, the future is upon us.

Republicans didn’t want Trump in the first place. Conservatives wanted Trump. Evangelical Christians wanted Trump. Patriotic Americans who put America first and foremost wanted Trump. Everyone else opposed Trump...and that has yet to change. MAGA.

The problem is clear. One negative word from Trump about DeSantis and-poof! DeSantis is history. DeSantis’ success depends on Trump. If DeSantis runs it will be at Trump’s behest.

The biggest factor in my Senate prediction is that the Republicans have a lot more seats to defend.

The biggest factors in my House prediction are: (1) I still don't have a clue what the GOP political agenda is; and (2) a weak, pathetic loser like Kevin McCarthy inspires less confidence than a three-toed sloth.
