I make that point often. You can make the minimum wage $50/hr if you like. All that will do is drive everybody else's wages up. The higher skilled and productive workers will always command more pay. And those at the entry level or those who have low skills will always be at the bottom of the pyramid.

Liberals have this notion that if you raise the wages of the unskilled to that of the skilled, that we will have this utopia where some guy mopping the floor at Wal-Mart will buy a three-bedroom house and live next door to his store manager.

Nope, it doesn't work like that.
