It’s all about the perception of sticking a finger in someone’s eye.
As long as it gets a rise out of folks, then they think that they have “won”.
They know no one in “their community” actually gives a damn about that guy, but it gives them a pyrrhic victory.
And besides, it will give the pigeons a new place to crap.
