Solitons ... a fascinating class of waveforms able to maintain shape while propagating at a constant velocity. They’re why, for example, the waveforms sent from your brain reach the muscles controlling your fingers intact.

In theory a circuit that could work as a shunt between two nerve cells could provide a way to bridge a broken spinal cord.

Never knew how that guy’s research project turned out.
