You really have no understanding of how the typical African slave trade worked. Captives were taken either during tribal warfare or by small expeditions seeking captives to trade. These captives at some point traded to Muslim traders who had defacto control over the inland trading routes. Major routes led to Egypt, the Arabian peninsula, Madagascar (forwarding to Asia) and to the West African Gold Coast serving the New world. Whole nations and empires were built on the slave trade. Most of the benefactors were black, the controllers Islamic. The preceeding does contain some generalizations due to the variety and extensive news of the trade.

Of course you are correct, and I have a full understanding of how slavery worked.

My point is that American blacks are taught that some white guys came on boats with nets and kidnapped Africans. If what they claim is true, then Africans are some of the weakest races of people that have walked the earth to let some foreigners come and just "take" people with nets.

That's how you shut down any argument when you hear the claim of people with nets "kidnapping blacks". It brings to light the absurdity of their argument.

"Major routes led to Egypt, the Arabian peninsula, Madagascar (forwarding to Asia)"

What happened to the black slaves sent to Arabia and Asia? Do their bloodlines still exist in those places, or did they die off, or what?

I am also curious about descendants of the European slaves captured by Barbary pirates. They seem to have vanished into history.
