Several of the interstates in my neck of the woods (I-90/I-95) are now changing their exit numbers to the mile marker standard whereas my car's GPS has the old ones. I'm sure an update will be coming.

I was living in NYC when Al Sharpton was tried for fraud, that is, he was accused of collecting funds on a non-profit basis but actually using the money for his personal gain, for example, to buy himself a large, flashy car.

The witnesses (black, mostly older women, and not well-off) were people who had paid into the organization supposedly to support its mission not knowing that Sharpton was using it to support his lavish lifestyle. But the court had to acquit Sharpton because the witnesses said they had known perfectly well that it was going to “the Revrun” and that he deserved it and needed it because he had to maintain a lifestyle befitting his magnificence.

That’s one of the biggest problems: the victims support and protect the very people who are using and defrauding them.
