I am convinced that with the progress made medically in the last several decades, that kids would be better off getting most childhood illnesses and developing natural immunity.

Any cases where the disease takes a turn for the worse, can go right to the hospital for appropriate medical treatment. I doubt we’d see the number of deaths and disabilities these days as we did 50 years ago when I was a kid.

Antivirals, antibiotics, and anti inflammatories would make a great difference.

Going to hospital does not prevent the loss of hearing or blindness that measles can cause. Nor will it prevent paralysis from polio

Hospitals are care facilities not miracle workers
