Juneteenth? What does that mean with reference to its name? That is a stupid name, reflecting nothing about what it means. Flag day, Memorial day, President’s day, Martin Luther king day—but Juneteenth? Why not call it Freedom from Slavery day? Guess the public schools will have a hard time explaining juneteenth....

Well, Juneteenth now officially gives blacks 2 holidays and an entire month to celebrate their identity group and provide them with year round affirmation while no other Dem identity group, other than gays and dudes in dresses, has that honor. Now, how about a Chuckteenth holiday for me? I could use a little affirmation and acclaim.
Happy to get another day off and, as our beloved “Vice President” would say - enjoy the long weekend!! Looking forward to annual race riots in Rat cities on June 19th.
Not enough Black holidays. Irishmen have the most Medal of
Honor but St.Patty’s day isn’t a federal holiday.
Lincoln and Washington don’t get their own days off like
MLK.
I think we need another Black Holiday, they didn’t cure Polio like the Jew did, but Momma Aunt Jemima made our Pancakes and had a nice smile so why not give a day off in her honor.

......yes, indeed....but not only gubbermint employees (I hesitate to use the term “workers”....) will get that day off, private industry will be pressured into observing that day also, because, you see, to do otherwise would be considered “rassis....”..look at the uproar many years ago when several states refused to observe MLK Day...it gonna be deja-vu all over again....
HISTORY: Not all slaves were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation, nor via Juneteenth. Only the slaves of the REBEL states were freed then. Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was a wartime effort to split and weaken the South; he did NOT free any slaves in the Northern states. Slaves in the non-rebelling border states had to wait for the 13th Amendment, effective December 18, 1865.
