Many have been angered that HCQ wasn’t made universally available as an alternative to the vaccine. However, even those the capsules are inexpensive, taking them every day could add up to some real expense. The average cost for 60 tablets, 200mg each of the generic (hydroxychloroquine sulfate) is $149.19. For a year’s supply, that’s $907.57 per year if the dosage is one tablet per day. However, kick in the cost of a doctor’s visit to get the proper dosage for you. You might have to do a lengthy search for a doctor who knows the correct prophylactic level you need to have to protect you from getting Covid. You wouldn’t want to experience a nasty chemical side effect or get Covid anyway by getting it wrong.

Considering how inexpensive HCQ is overseas where they live on it, it is beyond inexcusable to charge so much.

And yet, all of that is a small price to pay compared to not treating COVID at all and either dying from it or living with the results of having an untreated case.
