A relative works for a company that makes an electrical product in the US.
They messed up and made a defect on the circuit board but bypassed that area and kept the defect as it did not hurt anything.
The chinese copied their product even down to the defect on the circuit board.
For a hundred years it has not been called “A Chinese Copy” for no reason.
Remember the junk we got from Japan after WW II, 1946 till about 1967!

The one stamped made in usa is still the better knife!!
And the scabbard is better quality.
Democrats love to heavily regulate, tax, and limit manufacturing in this country. But they will warmly welcome everything that the Chinese want to dump in our markets, for a kickback.
Stop buying from China. Takes a bit of work but it can be done for a great number of items, including knives.
I posted something on this when we were talking about free trade and how communist nations were using their money to buy machines and produce enough product to pass inspection that it didn’t matter how much the manufacturing cost was, all that mattered was replacing United States manufacturing capability. A lot of people thought I was crazy because they all told me how good free trade was.
